At the moment, Electric Car Home does not ask for or store any personal information about any of the visitors to the website.
The only exception to this rule is anonymous data stored via ‘cookies’ (see below).
Two email addresses are shown on the website, namely email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you email us at either of these addresses, your email data and message will be received and stored by our email program which is separate to our website.
If we reply to you, our reply will also be stored in our email program, as will any subsequent email communications between us.
A cookie is defined by Wikipedia as “a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing.”
The only cookies we use come as standard with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and any plug-ins we use for social media.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager allow us to see which pages people visit, how long they stay on those pages, which links they click on, etc. This is standard practice for any website.
We also use plug-ins that display social media buttons. These allow you to share our pages on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. We can see how many people share each page.
Just to be clear: none of the cookies we use allow us to see who you are. It’s all anonymous.
